Batumbu reaffirmed its commitment to financial inclusion by participating in the 2025 Fintech Lending Days (FLD), held on July 9th–10th in Sorong, Southwest Papua. Organized by the Indonesian Joint Funding Fintech Association (AFPI) and supported by fellow fintech lending platforms and the Financial Services Authority (OJK), the event served as a collaborative platform to promote financial literacy and access to financing across Indonesia. This year’s FLD in Sorong placed special emphasis on educating the public about safe and productive digital financing options, especially for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Eastern Indonesia.
As part of the event series, Batumbu and AFPI conducted on-site visits to two home-based MSMEs in Sorong. These visits facilitated direct conversations with local entrepreneurs to understand their challenges in accessing funding. It also provided an opportunity to educate MSME owners on how to maximize the use of digital financing services (pindar) to support sustainable business growth.
Batumbu also took part in the Exhibition and Talkshow sessions, which brought together a diverse group of local MSME communities, including Pauwbili, Sinagi Papua, the MSME Community of Southwest Papua, the Indonesian Businesswomen Association (IWAPI) of Southwest Papua, Komunitas Peduli Papua, and many others. These sessions not only enabled valuable knowledge sharing, but also strengthened collaborative networks between business players, regulators, and digital financing platforms. During the event, Batumbu’s board representatives engaged in strategic discussions with key stakeholders such as the Rector of Victory University Sorong, the Expert Staff to the Governor of Southwest Papua, and the Director of Technology-Based Financing Supervision at OJK.
Through its active participation in Fintech Lending Days Sorong 2025, Batumbu reaffirms its dedication to expanding responsible and productive financing access for MSMEs across Indonesia. We believe that collaboration between regulators, industry players, and local communities is essential in fostering a more inclusive and equitable economic landscape. Batumbu remains committed to empowering Indonesian MSMEs to move forward, grow sustainably, and stay competitive in the digital era.
