PT Berdayakan Usaha Indonesia, well-known as "Batumbu," is an Information Technology-Based Co-Funding company that mainly focuses on Small and Midsize Enterprise (SME) financing, won the prestigious award "The best SME Financing 2023" from The Asian Bankers on September 14 2023 at The Langham Jakarta.

In 2021, Batumbu officially registered with the Otoritas Jasa Keuangan (OJK) and obtained a business license. Furthermore, Batumbu is envisioned to support productive sector development, especially in SME segmentation. Focusing on supply chain management and digital modernization to accelerate Indonesia's financial inclusion, Batumbu is the only non-banking company that succeeded in winning "The Best SME Financing 2023" on The Asian Banker Excellence in Retail Financial Services & Technology Innovation Indonesia Awards 2023.

The Asian Banker Excellence in Retail Financial Services and Technology Innovation Indonesia Awards 2023 is a prestigious and transparent national award with a strict level of selection in consumer financial services and technology in Indonesia.

Based on Batumbu company performance, Batumbu has increased funding distribution for 24.8 billion rupiah (has risen to +88% compared to the same period in the previous year)— the increase of funding distribution results in a positive correlation to achievement of company operating income. Moreover, compared to December 2022 (based on 2022 audited data), there is a +91% income growth boost. The company succeeded in bookkeeping positive profit in 2022 and grew exponentially upon this achievement, reaching +527% since December 31, 2022. Furthermore, Batumbu is able to maintain its 90-day success rate (DSR90) to 99,66% (based on August 31, 2023), with SME funds distribution in the productive sector to 27 provinces in Indonesia.

Besides Batumbu, The Asian Banker also awarded other prestigious financial institutions, such as PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA), PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI), and AlloBank, which also won other categories.
