Through the Batumbu Impact Survey on Indonesia’s Economy, we present the tangible benefits and contributions of our financing support in strengthening the MSME ecosystem. Grounded in the belief that MSMEs are the backbone of the national economy, this study examines both the direct and indirect impacts of our partnerships, driving improved business performance, optimizing trade network efficiency, and fostering stronger stakeholder collaboration.
Batumbu is projected to contribute an estimated +IDR 41 trillion to the national economy, equivalent to 0.17% of Indonesia’s national GDP, 0.29% of the MSME sector, and 4.13% of the financial sector. On average, each MSME funded by Batumbu can experience a monthly revenue increase of IDR 1.9 million.
Since using Batumbu’s financing services, MSME entrepreneurs have seen an average 40% increase in distribution capacity. This has also driven principals to expand their product distribution.
On average, each Batumbu-supported MSME hired 5 new employees. In total, Batumbu’s financing helped generate over 9,000 new job opportunities, supporting employment growth in the MSME sector.
All principals reported effective collaboration with Batumbu-supported MSMEs and found it highly effective in improving administrative order, transparency, and business trust.
Batumbu’s financing drove an average monthly revenue increase of IDR 1.19 billion, showcasing the direct financial impact on MSMEs.
Batumbu’s financing scheme promotes financial discipline, encouraging better cash flow management and consistent business recordkeeping.
